Hey Rat Fans, What heady days we live in! This week as felt like there's been no better week to be a Moo. With our much awaited appearance in What MTB magazine hitting the shelves on Tuesday and the new jersey's on show, you would not be mistaken to thinking things could not get much better! With such an atmosphere it was the Vice Cap who had the unenviable task of taking this weeks ride; there was so much to live up to! You don't become Vice Captain for nothing my friends and the man delivered. The ride included everything. We had the punishing climbs of Rob's lane and straight up to the tips, and the even more punishing climb up through Perrot's. This from memory has to be the first ride that has seen us at the top of the mountain twice! The downhill's consisted of a completely new one off the mast, with everyone tackling Dai Eye's see-saw, and the second run off the mast being of the newly constructed trial that is proving to be more than a match for old faithful; not to mention the run off the side of the tips, which was completed by almost everyone. It was back to HQ where it began to become apparent that appearing in the magazine has changed one of the boys...Scrippsy. Very much reminiscent of Gorgeous Gus of the Victor Comic Book for Boys 1967 who upon winning the FA Cup Final for Redburn Rovers changed before accepting the Cup from Royalty, Scrippsy it would appear has to change into smart casual before he enters the TA!!! What heady days indeed!! Stunt P.S. The go-karting will be postponed until further notice, due to lack of numbers. Secondly Gaz has booked the accommodation for France and would like £100 of everyone concerned to get the ball rolling. |
