Hello Rat Fans! With the previous weeks ride being the best of the year with the improved weather and dry tracks, it was much of the same for this week.

The hottest day of the year was upon us and it was with baited breath that I eagerly anticipated a huge turn out to make the most of the conditions that was to make any track rideable. However, come 6:35 there were 6 members of the Moos waiting outside the legion. Surely there were to be more to come? I mean, there were more kids hanging around on the street corner than Moos!!! So the lonesome 6 proceeded to plan their ride when out of the hazy spring dust appeared the Cavalry (well.... Jim, Ade, Singlespeed & Gaz!) but never the less they were indeed a sight for sore eyes for the lonesome 6, and it was with renewed gusto that the collective headed for the Forestry where the dry conditions made for superb riding. Highlights including Garlic Path where Stephan had a top prang, which according to eyewitnesses was caused by Dai 'the eye' Morgan, and the 'Old faithful' descent from Lisvane Woods.

So good were the riding conditions that it was agreed that a rain check would be taken on a mid journey stop in the pub, in order to make the most of the light. The ride concluded with Singlespeeds track through the woods with the light fading fast. As per usual the TA put on a splendid spread where Dickie & Berni made a appearance to witness possibly the funniest thing seen on a sporting playing field as Boris 'Bites yer Legs' Johnson wreaked havoc on the Germans in the Legends football match. A top nights riding, more of the same next week please....

P.S. A special mention of Good luck to 'Eight Inch' Dave who will be participating in the 24hr Clic event this weekend. Apparently, he's going and not going to drink any alcohol while he's there... How odd!!!
