ROGER'S RIDE??? OR A MUTINY TAKEOVER So no one has the motivation to put pen to paper anymore, I’m becoming the moo’s secretary, and a non Mooo member was leading the ride. (By me) So Roger decided to go up Turner’s lane and towards the Sirhowy valley all on his own volition, (with some gentle persuading) All the moos gathered before the dry trails salivating in anticipation for those dry D/H trails, which we all are expecting to become wet, slidey, slippery, mucky, muddy, sticky, shi##y soon. One of Gaz’s mtb School club kids was pushing in front of the ranks, riding particularly solid, especially on a single speed. One of the first up Turners, although he is young dumb and full of cummmmmmmbrian sausages. Oh yes he fell off down the Sirhowy D/H. (Show off) The trails were dry as a crisp and everyone met at the bottom with beaming smiles. Everyone had their lights on full beam now, maybe slowing us down abit. We then began to ascend up towards the mast, the pace was like a rampant rabbit, bobbing up and down, with our tyres burning from beneath us. On top we blasted down through the front trail, again it was dry, fertile, vibrant and fast. No casualties to note, fantastic pace, good crowd as always, a bit of manipulating took place on the ride leader, though generally a good ride. I think there were a good number of moos out, some departed early (option). I hope that someone gets some inspiration to write a report soon, maybe whoever leads the ride should write it, keep the interest high, and change writers often because I’m bored of mine. Daf |
