After last week's ride of the year, could I live up to such an epic? Well read on............
The Captain sent his apologies, stating, "He had had and extremely hard day, and was totally exhausted, having watched professional golfers at the Ryder Cup practice round"!!
The Captain missed a good ride, I started with 25 riders, when we got to the bottom of the Ridgeway I was down to 15 riders, then when we got to Van road, down to 7 riders.... What was the matter with you lot! If the Captain would have been out he would have been mortified at riders taking short cuts to the 'Monty', rather than following there illustrious leader!
So to make the 7 riders feel proud that they finished such a tough, technical, muddy, slippery, course I will name them........ Ryan the Steam, Beaker, Gaz, OBE, Jimmy Mac, Griff, and Scrippsy. The rest of you hang your heads in shame!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done, Russ, Chrissie, Spindles, Tom & Ade for completing the 75 & 100 Kilometres ride last Saturday.
The Moos are now infamous in Spain! But spare a kind thought to a fellow Moo ,who as I write is flying back to Wales courtesy of 'Iberian Air ambulance', after having had a nasty accident and badly breaking his ankle. The Moos are looking forward to Simon relating the incident back at headquarters. Get well soon me old mucker.
Monthly awards night next week.
It's Jesus to take the ride next week................ he aims to visit as many sacred places as possible, and say a prayer or two in each one, so please brush up on the 'Lords Prayer'.
