Moo Sports Evening – Event 1, Time Trial (with a difference) A big thanks to you all, 31 attended the event, in what were the worst conditions seen this year. Great effort cheers boys. A recap of the event. The plan was for the pairings to ride each section and for your average times to be as close to the average time set by Captain and Vice, who rode the sections the night before. Our times were –
Scoring The pair with the closest average time on each section will earn 15 points, the furthest away will earn 1. The overall winners will be awarded points per person which will go towards the Annual Sports Evening prizes, which will be £100, £50 & £30.
Johnsy took the lead and headed off to Brokeback, he is sadistic! He wanted the event to take in Brokeback, Garlic, Drop of Death, Carling, Lisvane Jumps etc etc. Look out later in the year when he gets his way!!!
Noteable times were – Gaz 6:15, Griff 7:05, Sam 7:58 (he did stick his leg past the finishing line some way out), Knotty 10:13 (you need some practice) The top 5 closest were – Berni & Enzo,
1.9 secs off the average time Top Five scores after event 1 - Berni & Enzo 15 pts, Ant & Daf 14, Griff & Russ E 13, Spindle & Kev 12, Rog & Reg 11
Noteable
times were – Poor Sam got a bit lost, with Scripsy leading the way ????????????????? Top 5 closest were – Spindle & Kev,
1 sec Scores after event 2 – Ant & Daf 27 pts, Spindle & Kev 27, Griff & Russ 23, Rog & Reg 22, Crockett & OBE 20
Quarry / Carling Loop Noteable
times were – Knotty – Ooops – hope the shoulder is ok? Top 5 closest were – Jim & Dai,
0.7 sec Scores after event 3 - Spindle & Kev 38, Jim & Dai 34, Ant & Daf 32, Crockett & OBE 32, Rog & Reg 31 At this point I advise the last five places were – Last, Marty & Scrippsy 6, Jock & Knotty 7, Dickie & Sam 13, Tom & Russ L 13, Jesus, Newbury, Harty 22
Le Mans Noteable time, this accolade has to go to Enzo 6:48. Johnsy needs mentioning also, he clocked a ridiculous 9:01 on Tuesday night. This just goes to show he lacks stamina, goes off like a bullet and dies away at the end – Were any of you aware of this? I guess not as everyone smashed his time. Top 5 closest were – Beaker & Feather,
4.5 sec THE
RESULTS
My conclusions Scrippsy – great effort young man, I know how hard it must have been trying to walk in that mud with your slippers on. Tom & Russ, whatever tactics you were discussing on your way down, causing you to be late, were pointless, we are obviously quicker than you thought. Knotty, I think you owe Jock a pint Berni & Enzo, your last leg blew it for you, you were both just to damn fast. And
to our winners, CONGRATULATIONS Owgie & Kev, you
obviously know our abilities, or was it just down to good old pot
luck? Hope you all enjoyed it and thanks again for turning up given the weather. If you want to see all the times, I will bring them next week. Next week’s ride will be taken by Chris Watkins, he assures me he will be there! Keep Mooing Cap’n Peal |
