Dai's Drivel

27th July 2011

Twenty nine riders were in attendance of this weeks ride. We set off up the nasty Lewis street climb to the top. After which we did the bonus climb to the top of the tip. There were only a handfull of refusals. And after the expected wait for the old nervous members of the herd... it was the last but one rider who provided the inevitable crash of the night. We thought he was going to impress us by jumping the fence at the bottom.

Thankfully he was unhurt - if only a little bruised.

Next, the short ride to the mast. And a superb blistering ride down the very fast front trail. Then over to do the Carling-tree... and up for a welcome return to the Maenllywd.

After a breather and one or two refreshments - the herd then set off back to head quarters for food and the monthly awards.

The `Rider of the Month` award must have been very hard to decide, with so many of the herd riding superbly at the moment. James Shagnasty deservingly took the award.

And the `Tw*t of the Month` going to the ever consistent Rog Purnell.

Also, Thomas was officially welcomed to the moo herd. And treated us to a breathtaking rendition of La Marseillaise, though probably with a different translation to the one we had previously heard in the night...

Good ride - superb evening.
Nice Ant
